SIVAD PPE Earns Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Certification with the Delaware Department of Transportation
BEAR, DE - Mar. 9, 2023 - SIVAD PPE announces its certification as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firm with the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT).
Goals of DelDOT are "Minimize the environmental impact of the state's transportation system and achieve financial sustainability through accuracy, transparency and accountability." According to the DelDOT press release, the Equity in Infrastructure Project was created to improve public contracting practices by creating more opportunities for Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) to build generational wealth and reduce the racial wealth gap by creating more prime, joint venture and equity contracting opportunities for these firms.
Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) includes firms designated as Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises, and Small Business Enterprises.
